Women’s health conference will be Nov. 4
SIKESTON — The University of Missouri Extension will host the 17th Annual Multi- County Women’s Health Conference from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4.
The conference will be held in Sikeston at the Tanner Street Church of God located on 619 Tanner St. The conference is free of charge with breakfast, lunch and door prizes provided.
The conference sponsors include: University of Missouri Extension, Missouri Delta Medical Center, Aging Matters/Oaks Nutrition Center, Crown Hospice, Genesis Home Care, Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) of Southeast Missouri, Scott County Health Department, Bootheel Counseling Center, Lincoln University Extension-Southeast Region and Helen’s Creative Stitches.
The conference showcases speakers and organizations dedicated to improving women’s health, while onsite exhibits feature several organizations and companies with products or services that appeal to the participants.
For the past 16 years, the conference attendees have received life-changing opportunities to connect with other women and healthcare providers to create new professional and personal roadmaps for their lives.
In lieu of a keynote speaker this year, the conference committee members will highlight resources available through their organization. Conference participants will participate in various breakout sessions throughout the day that focus on personal development, money management, legal issues, insurance topics, chronic disease, diet and exercise, and other health and wellness topics.
