Youth Fishing Rodeo

Five participants earned honors and $100 each at the Youth Fishing Rodeo conducted during New Madrid's annual Fall Festival on Oct. 1. Tying for the most fish caught by boys were Gavin Harris and Braedyn McElhaney while Chase Perry was the boy catching the biggest fish. Among the girls, Charlie Grace Faulkner caught the most fish and Addlyn Faulkner caught the biggest fish.

Seventy-five youngsters lined the fishing pond off Highway U on Oct. 1 as they took part in the youth fishing rodeo hosted by the Riverbend Ducks Unlimited, H&R Block and Southeast Health. Participants received fishing poles for taking part along with a hauling in plenty of fish and having fun.
