Durham, Byrd named Sikeston High School Students of Month for November

SIKESTON — Blair Durham and Lindsay Byrd were named Sikeston High School Students of the Month for November.

Sikeston Public Schools Foundation, which sponsors the monthly program, names two seniors each month for the honor during the 2022-2023 school year.

Durham is the daughter of Becky and David Durham. She is the National Honors Society service project coordinator and active in DECA, FCA, Red Peppers, cheerleading, ASTRA Key Club, Bulldog Barker, FBLA Link Crew and Inspired Presenters. She also serves as the class and student body secretary for Student Council. Her hobbies include cheerleading, art, designing, marketing and dancing.

Byrd, who is the daughter of Shawn and Christy Byrd, is the Sikeston head cheerleader. She is active in Sikeston varsity and competition cheer, FCA, ASTRA Club, DECA, College Ambassador, FBLA, Inspired Presenters, Key Club, Link Crew, Red Peppers, Student Council, World Language Club and yearbook. She also serves as the National Honors Society secretary. In her spare time, she enjoys cheering, hunting and fishing, ranger riding, going to the river, riding on the boat, kayaking, reading and hanging out with friends and family.
