Extra dumpsters to be placed in Sikeston for holiday season

SIKESTON — Five additional dumpsters for holiday trash will be placed throughout Sikeston for residents in need this holiday season.

According to the City of Sikeston, Sonny’s Solid Waste will have additional dumpsters set out for the overflow of extra holiday trash that may not fit in residential toters.

Starting Dec. 23 through Jan. 4, residents in the city of Sikeston can drop off their excess trash at any of the following dumpster locations:

1. Mary Lou Montgomery Park on Illinois Avenue (behind Fire Station No. 3)

2. In front of VFW Ballfield

3. Smith Street across from Alsup Cabinet

4. Compost Site on Compress Road

5. Central Park on Edmondson Street
