POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. — Norman Gayle Morgan, 76, of Poplar Bluff passed away Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022, at his home.
Norman was born on Aug. 31, 1946, to Albert and Lena (Johnson) Morgan in Morley, Missouri.
Norman was active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars, serving as Adjunct Commander of Post 5368 in Morley, Missouri. He also served as VFW National Aide-De-Camp, National Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff and VFW District 15 Commander. He was a member of the Southeast Missouri Honor Guard. He was also a member of The American Legion Post 153 and the Poplar Bluff Elks Lodge 2452. Norm loved hunting and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed coaching local youth in any sport, helping all veterans in any way possible and most of all, spending time with his two sons.
Norman is survived by numerous extended family members.
Norman was preceded in death by his two sons, Timothy and Justin Morgan; both parents; brother, Fred Morgan.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 16, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service will follow beginning at 11:30 a.m.
Burial will take place at Missouri State Veteran Cemetery in Bloomfield at 1 p.m. with full military honors.
