Jack Moore Sr.

SIKESTON — Jack D. Moore Sr., son of the late Jesse Moore and Pearl Meyer Moore, was born on April 1, 1932, in Flat River, Missouri, and departed his life on Friday, Dec. 16, 2022, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston at the age of 90 years.

He was a former employee of Wetterau Food in Scott City, Missouri, and a resident of Sikeston. Mr. Moore was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Nascar fan. Jack enjoyed planting a large produce garden every year.

On July 2, 1950, he was united in marriage to Wilma Ruth Crader in Pochahontas, Arkansas. Mrs. Moore preceded him in death.

Survivors include: one son, Jack (Missy) Moore Jr. of Sikeston; one daughter, Mary (Bill) St. Mary of Chaffee; two grandsons, Scott (Angel) Brant of Bay City, Texas, and Tim (Shelly) Brant of Erin, Tennessee; six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; also, by his best friend, Bill Beck of Sikeston.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Willard Moore; and two nephews, Mike and Terry Moore.
