SIKESTON — Robert “Chase” Rodgers, age 25, of Sikeston passed away at his home on Dec. 16, 2022.

He was born on Aug. 19, 1997, in Sikeston, to Robert Rodgers and Nichole Presley.

Chase graduated from Sikeston High School in 2016. He was a Bulldog Wrestler alongside many of his lifelong friends who became more like brothers.

Chase followed in his father’s footsteps and was a proud Army veteran. He was employed at Refresco where he created many friends.

Chase was a cherished son, grandson, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. His true purpose in life was to make someone smile when they needed it most. His bright light will never fade.

Survivors include: his parents, Robert and Leslie Rodgers of Sikeston and Nichole Presley (Craig Poore Jr.) of Charleston, Missouri; his best friend/future bride, Shae Clinton of Sikeston; four sisters, Cora Burnett (Brandon Hurt) of Sikeston, CaSaundra (Ryan) Miller of Jonesboro, Illinois, Sydney (Wesley) Shaw of Sikeston and Abbye King (Trey Drury) of Sikeston; one brother, Cole Burnett of Sikeston.

Other survivors include his beloved grandmother, Judy Rodgers of Sikeston; his aunts and uncles, Tim (Jamie) Rodgers, Christi (Jeff) Johnson and James Rodgers all of Sikeston, Jerry Dale Presley of Morehouse, Missouri, and Tracy (Jim) Reed of Sikeston; six nephews, Champ Presley, Thayne Malloy, Jace Hurt all of Sikeston, Clayton Miller of Jonesboro IL. and Parker and Cannon Shaw of Sikeston; several cousins, Cody Rodgers (Tori Williams) and Samuel Joe Rodgers of Sikeston, Trey (Augustus) Smith of Nixa, Missouri, Zach Johnson of Sikeston, Jack and Hudson Rodgers of Sikeston and Brandon Sides of Sikeston.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Wayne Rodgers; maternal grandparents, Jerry and Saundra Presley, Pamela Tope and John Chadd; and great-grandmother Georgia Davidson.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2022, from 3 p.m. until time of funeral service at 5 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston with Danny Kuykendall officiating.
