Thursday’s winter storm brought 2 to 4 inches of snow, strong winds and frigid temperatures to the area, even causing power outages in some places. The extreme cold remained in Southeast Missouri with Friday’s high near 11 degrees with wind chill values as low as -21 and Saturday’s high near 22 with wind chill values as low as -6. The high on Christmas day is expected to be near 26. There is a chance for more snow early Monday with a high of 32 degrees.
