Pedestrian injured after being struck by vehicle in Morehouse

MOREHOUSE, Mo. — A pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run accident early New Year’s Day in Morehouse city limits.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 1:50 a.m. Sunday at 309 Bates St. in Morehouse, as an unknown southbound vehicle operated by an unknown driver struck a pedestrian, David L. Clapp, 45, of Morehouse in the roadway.

Clapp received moderate injuries and was taken by private vehicle to Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri.
