__Waste and garbage should be tied down__
This Speakout goes to the city Mayor, City of Sikeston, Sikeston police department. My Speakout problem is about the people who are hauling waste and garbage. They’re not tying it down at all. They should be tying it down. It could be causing dangerous wrecks or something slaps another car. From the start of North Ingram past the rodeo grounds to the highway, it’s just littered with branches, garbage, aluminum junk and trash. But if these tree companies and tree services are going to put something on their trailers a mile high, police should be watching them so they tie it down tightly because if you drive out North Ingram right now past the rodeo grounds, it’s littered with tree limbs. Thank you.
__More fried chicken places wanted in Sikeston__
Yes, I was just wondering when Sikeston was going to put in another fried chicken place. Jay’s is nice and all those other places are nice, but we would like to have a KFC or Popeye’s (Chicken) or Church’s (Texas) Chicken. The old Zaxby’s (building) would be a perfect place for a KFC or the old KFC (building) would be a perfect place for a new KFC. Thank you for listening. Anybody else out there who would like another fried chicken place, please call Speakout. Thank you.
__Time for check up for East Prairie__
It sure would be nice if East Prairie would spend as much on fixing the water issues and the drainage problems that we have and especially the huge potholes all over town instead of buying buildings they don’t need and tearing down ones they just remodeled two years ago. They spend more money on silly things like street lights on the back roads here and a roundabout that everybody hates. When it rains, there’s water running across the street and there are holes in the street big enough to bury your wheels. I read where you can now sue a city if you tear up a vehicle in a pothole. And I think we should do that. Everyone is noticing that all the contractors are all from out of Cape and Perryville – not one single local company. I think it’s time for a check up for East Prairie.
__Caller: Party switch wouldn’t happen__
A Speakout caller from a few days ago suggested that Dennis Ziegenhorn make a return to elected office by converting to the Republican Party. Caller, I know Dennis Ziegenhorn. He is a man of admirable political principle and would never convert to the Republican Party for any elected position.
