Mary Clark
SIKESTON — Mary Jane (Scherer) “Mickey” Clark, 91, reunited on Feb. 10, 2023, with her family in heaven.
Born July 15, 1931, Mickey was a wonderful wife, stay-at-home Mom Mary Scherer, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend to many. She will be lovingly missed.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Herman R. Clark of Sikeston; five children, Jane (Jerry) Lesyna of Patton, Missouri, Becky (Mike) Trehy of Patton, Mark (Celeste) Clark of Patton, Michael (Teresa) Clark of Millersville, Missouri, Matthew Clark of Benton, Missouri; two grandsons, Joe (Amber) Clark of Sikeston, Tim (Marie) Trehy of St. Louis, Missouri; four great-grandchildren, Aiden, Lizzie and Hunter Clark of Sikeston and Otis Trehy of St. Louis.
Mickey was the youngest and last remaining of eight children born to Mary and Barney Scherer: Jim Scherer, Richard Scherer, Gilbert Scherer, Bud Scherer, Edna Christian, Vera Scherer and Georgia Scherer.
She was a talented seamstress and loved a making doll clothes and bears and bunnies out of old quilts.
We would like to thank Saint Francis Hospice for their care over the last few months and Mary Scherer’s helpers: Roxanne, Heather, Bridget and Kaye for their patience and the love they showed for Mickey Scherer. We are forever grateful.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a Catholic rosary at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, 2023, at DeLisle Funeral Home Chapel in Portageville, Missouri, where services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023, with Father David Baunach officiating.
Burial will be in the Portageville.
Memorials are requested for the Alzheimer’s Association.
