Main-Malone intersection will be closed or lanes reduced Monday

Effective at 8 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13, the intersection U.S. 61 (Main Street) and Malone Avenue in Sikeston, Missouri, will be closed or lanes reduced at times for signal light upgrades, according to the City of Sikeston. Delays of 15-to-20-minute intervals can be expected. All motorists and residents in the area are asked to use alternative routes to avoid this site and are encouraged to use caution when in the construction areas.  Work on the improvements began last month with completion anticipated by Oct. 31, according to Missouri Department of Transportation.
