SIKESTON —  The Sikeston Jersey Mike’s, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in January and held a fundraiser for the Sikeston-based Kenny Rogers Children’s Center (KRCC) during its first four days of business.

From Jan. 11-15, franchise owner JMS Restaurants LLC honored coupons allowing guests to donate $3 to the KRCC and receive a free regular sub.  Five thousand coupons were distributed throughout Sikeston using a grassroots effort.  The donations helped raise $2,685.92 for the KRCC.

“We’re so excited to bring the Jersey Mike’s franchise to Sikeston, which is one of the best communities in Southeast Missouri.  Jersey Mike’s mission that giving makes a difference in someone’s life resonates with our community and its relationship with the Kenny Rogers Center,” said Kim Beardslee, General Manager.

Jersey Mike’s believes that making a sub sandwich and making a difference can be one and the same.  Every March, Jersey Mike’s celebrates its annual “Month of Giving,” a national fundraising campaign for local charities across the country.  Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised nearly $90 million for local charities. In 2022, the company’s 12th Annual Jersey Mike’s Month of Giving in March raised $20 million for the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games.

Jersey Mike’s will host their annual “Month of Giving” in March 2023.  It will benefit benefit Special Olympics again this year.  Thousands of coupons will be made available to Sikeston through a grassroots campaign.  The coupons can be redeemed at Jersey Mike’s in Sikeston to support this year’s Month of Giving.  Offers will include “donate $3 and get a free chip and drink” and “donate $5 and get a free regular sub.”

Jersey Mike’s Subs, with more than 2,300 locations nationwide, serves authentic fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs on in-store freshly baked bread — the same recipe it started with in 1956.
