CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — Della Mae Phillips, age 83, passed away on March 9, 2023, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born on Sept. 24, 1939, in Alicia, Arkansas, to the late Tillman and Esther Kell Williams.
She retired in 2002 as a CNA at the Missouri Veteran’s Home in Cape Girardeau.
She is survived by one son, Melvin Earl (Anita) Phillips of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Teresa (Ron) Bollinger of Llano, Texas, and Lisa Ellis of Chaffee, Missouri; seven brothers, John Williams of California, Chuck Williams of Texas, Merlin (Julee) Williams of Texas, Leon Williams of Arkansas, Wendell Williams of Georgia, Jim Williams of Missouri and Rusty (Ed) Ryal of Florida; six grandchildren, Amanda Pittman, Ashton Hutchison, Lacey (Jeremy) Tenney, Kelsey Brown, Amber (Jordan) Luster and Aldan (Kagen) Phillips; and 10 great-grandchildren, Nataleigh Hickman, Kolten Ford, Mollie Greer, Jamylah Pittman, Jaysion Pittman, Spencer Phillips, Calvin Luster, Rilo Luster, David Brown and Kayne Brown.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Williams and David Williams; and one sister, Wanda Faughn.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, form 10 a.m. until time of memorial service at noon at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, Missouri, with Brother Jason Schrieber, Pastor of Living Waters Church in Sikeston, officiating.
