SIKESTON — The Sikeston Public Library’s annual four-day used book sale begins Thursday, March 30 in the McAmis Room.

The sale will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, March 31; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 1.

On Sunday, April 2 — the final day of the sale — any items left at the sale will be sold for $1 per brown bag full from 1-3 p.m. The library will even provide the brown bags.

Items offered for sale are an assortment of donated books and books removed from the library collection. Shoppers will find regular and large print books, adult and children’s books, and a wide variety of fiction and nonfiction selections, according to library director Ron Eifert.

Proceeds from the book sale are returned to the library’s budget to purchase new materials for circulation in the library, Eifert said.
