Wanted: checkout clerks

No more shopping at my once-favorite super store in Sikeston. They have eight checkout lanes. But they usually only have one or two open lanes which takes you 30 or more minutes to get check out because of the line of people checking out. I’ve had ice cream in my cart which had started to melt by the time I got checked out. I’ve heard rumors they do that, hoping people will use the self checkout registers to save money paying for checkout clerks. At my age, I need a checkout clerk.

SCTC expansion is great

I saw the news report on Channel 12 news about the kids in Sikeston participating in the new career building. I think it’s great the kids get to participate in this kind of thing. They may learn to be construction workers or anything, but I just thought it was a great thing to see this was happening. Thank you. Bye.

Put blame where it belongs

Commenting on thanks for legalizing pot. Pot doesn’t make people drive reckless but crack or meth does. Put blame where it belongs.
