CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Patricia Cissell Randall, MSW, 67, passed away on April 13, 2023, peacefully at home in Corpus Christi. She was born on Feb. 10, 1956, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Philip V. Cissell and Bertha Geraldine Hailey (nee Lumsden).

She received dual bachelor’s degrees in Criminal Justice and Social Work from Southeast Missouri State University and her master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Missouri (Columbia). She was employed with the Missouri Department of Social Services for 14 years as a Child Abuse and Neglect Investigator and a Sexual Assault Social Worker; a Substance Abuse Counselor with the Gibson Recovery Center and she was employed by the Texas Department of Family Services.

She married the love of her life, James Faust Randall on Nov. 10, 1988, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on Aug. 6, 2020.

Survivors include: one son, Thomas P. Linley of San Antonio, Texas; one daughter, Julie Nicole Linley of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Mark (Angel) Cissell of Phoenix, Arizona, and Joe (Teresa) Cissell of Charleston, Missouri; one sister, Misty Kennon and stepmother, Mrs. Esta Lea Cissell of Farmington, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Hunter, Thomas and Nicholas Linley of Tennessee, Serenity and Ayden Linley of San Antonio, G.F. Linley of Gainesville, Florida, Jeremiah Hecht II and Liam Linley of the home; mother-in-law, Juanita Randall of Bertrand, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Harold Hailey; and one brother, Donald Cissell.

She loved Bob Seger’s music and watching movies on HBO. She lived for her grandsons but the pull to reunite with her husband was too strong.

Services were held in Texas.
