Public education needs more support

Missouri now ranks third from the bottom in financial support for higher education. It also has the worst starting salary for teachers from K-12 in the United States. I know many Republicans don’t value public education, but this is ridiculous. They control everything in the state now. Now they are trying to create more Republicans. Thank you.

Senators against ceiling debt bill

I noticed that Josh Hawley and Eric Schmitt, both senators of Missouri, voted against the national ceiling debt bill, which passed. I guess they would prefer to just shut down the country.

Violence dispute

To the caller who said, there is “people violence, not gun violence” posted June 2 in the Standard Democrat. I guess you prefer to call it gun-owner violence or how about NRA-member violence. I could go on and on, but only people who have the guns are committers of violence if they use a gun in a crime.
