SIKESTON — A four-vehicle crash resulted in injuries for a Sikeston man Tuesday.

According to Capt. Jon Broom with Sikeston Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred just before noon Tuesday as a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a Sikeston woman was traveling south on South Main Street near the Gen. George E. Day Parkway intersection failed to yield to a northbound 2014 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a Sikeston man which contributed to the crash. The northbound vehicle then struck a 2022 Jeep Wrangler driven by a Hayti, Missouri, woman stopped at the traffic light on Gen. George E Day Parkway. The impact of the crash then caused the 2022 Jeep Wrangler to strike a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a Sikeston man.

The driver of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado was transported by EMS to the hospital. No others were transported from the scene, and the crash remains under investigation, Broom said.
