Martha Burchfield
SIKESTON – Martha Burchfield, age 90, passed away on June 21, 2023, at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.
She was born on May 24, 1933, in Vanduser, Missouri, to the late Jehu Paschal and Mary Kate Wornica.
On Nov. 3, 1956 in Uma, Arizona, she married James E. Burchfield who survives of the home in Sikeston.
She volunteered at the Miner Nursing Center in Miner, Missouri, for 20 years and she enjoyed quilting.
She is survived by two sons, Steve Burchfield of Sikeston and Jim Burchfield of Sikeston; one daughter, Karen (Steve) McCoy of Ochlocknee, Georgia; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one brother, Lenn Wornica and three sisters, Ruth Triplett, Rachel Green and Katy Waldo.
A family graveside service will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
