No-burn advisory in effect for Scott County citizens

BENTON, Mo. — The Scott County Commission issued on Friday, June 30 a no-burn advisory to the citizens of Scott County, effective immediately.
Due to high temperatures, low humidity, dry ground covering, the possibility of winds, and lack of precipitation in the forecast, citizens are advised to postpone open outdoor burning activities. This includes both recreational and work-related outdoor activities.
Despite, precipitation in some areas over the weekend, the advisory remained in effect, as of Monday, July 3.
