ORLANDO, Fla. — A former Southeast Missourian, born and raised in a small town located in the Bootheel area, transitioned on Friday, June 23, 2023, to a brighter home of peace. Micheal Hill was born on Nov. 16, 1961, to the proud parents of the late Mary “Hackney” Wiley and Robert Wiley Sr. in North Lilbourn, Missouri. Micheal is the second youngest of eight bundles of joy during this union.

After graduating from Lilbourn High School, Micheal moved to a Naval Base in the Philippines with her family for a year or two. Then they returned to the United States, making Florida their home.

During the many years of employment in the U.S. Government, Micheal advanced in several different positions along the way. Retirement came early in Micheal’s life due to her illness. But the Lord allowed her to spend five years longer than the expected life of someone with ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s disease.

At an early age, Micheal accepted Jesus Christ as her savior at Pilgrim’s Rest M.B. Church in her hometown. Sixteen years later, she rededicated her life to Christ at New Covenant Baptist Church of Orlando, Florida where her membership existed until God called her home at the age of 62 to be with him.

Arrangements for Micheal O. “Wiley” Hill’s home going are as follows: Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. until the funeral hour of noon at Pilgrim’s Rest M.B. Church in Lilbourn.

Interment will immediately follow in Mason Cemetery in Point Pleasant, Missouri.
