Beverly Wright

SIKESTON – Beverly Kay Wright, age 80, passed away on Aug. 6, 2023, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston.

She was born on Dec. 1, 1942, in Goshen, Indiana, to the late Lowell “Bud” and Evelyn Stucker Huls.

On July 1, 1966, in Cairo, Illinois, she married Neil Ray Wright, who preceded her in death on Nov. 25, 2022.

She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Sikeston for over 40 years.

She is survived by one daughter, Renae (Keith) Hornback of Sikeston; one stepdaughter, Rae Marie Burnett of Glasgow, Kentucky; one sister, Vicky Bailey of Matthews, Missouri; one stepson, Michael Neil Wright of Texas; one very special grandson, Ryan (Elizabeth) Wright of Springfield, Missouri; one granddaughter, Lauren Hornback of Sikeston; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ricky Huls; and one stepson, James Calvin Wright.

A visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 10, 2023, from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston with Jim Calvin officiating.

Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be: Keith Hornback, Robbie Bailey, Ryan Wright, Austin Maxwell, Hershel Patterson and Russ Whitten.
