“Bella Rose Winterspell,” the latest book published by Olga I. Griggs of Sikeston, is now available on Amazon in paperback and eBook formats.

Griggs has written 30 Christian romance novels since the end of 2017. She is the mother of Banner Press religion columnist Linda Schreckenberg, a former Bollinger County resident now living in O’Fallon.

Readers are introduced to “Bella Rose Winterspell,” a Christian romance novel set in the 1890s, at the book’s website on www.Amazon.com:

“His beloved Nora is gone, and New York no longer holds the charm it once held for Parson Henley Harrison and his family. So, he’s taking his daughters, Ellie and Sarah, back to the grand old Harrison plantation in New Orleans where he grew up. It will be a new season for them, much different than the seasons before. In fact, Henley is about to encounter his past in his present!”

The book was published July 5.

Also available on Amazon is Griggs’ book, “Sophia,” a story of an unexpected inheritance that leads to romance.

Her first two Christian romance books, “The Kidnapper” and “River Rescue,” originally published elsewhere, will soon be available on Amazon. “River Rescue” is a romance that begins in New Madrid on the Mississippi River.

Her next title to be published in a few weeks is “The Lamplighter, A Christmas Story.”

“Although she may be a fairly new literary kid on the block, there’s not another Christian romance author out there with any better books than hers,” said Schreckenberg, a contributor to her mother’s books. “I still have 26 more [of her mother’s] manuscripts to type, and the number is still growing. She amazes us, and she’s definitely going places with her books. Everyone who reads one of her books wants every book she writes.”

Interestingly, Griggs is related to American writer Mark Twain through her father’s Casey lineage, according to Shreckenberg, who added that this documentation was verified through a relative’s genealogical research.

“That may explain the talent and love for writing in our family,” she said. “Mom and I are writers/authors, and our youngest son writes poetry. We found it quite interesting that our other son lives on Twain Lane in a subdivision whose streets are named for authors and poets, and our church is located on Mark Twain Lane. And we now live only an hour or so away from Hannibal, Missouri, where Mark Twain grew up.”

“Bella Rose Winterspell” can be found on www.Amazon.com by searching the book title. And the eBook can be purchased there or read free through joining Kindle Unlimited.
