Two Kentucky residents killed in motorcycle crash in Mississippi County

WYATT, Mo. – Two Kentucky residents were killed in a two-vehicle crash in Mississippi County over the weekend.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 5:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 62, three miles east of Wyatt, as the westbound vehicle driven by Travis A. Vincent, 42, of Bernie, Missouri, crossed the centerline and struck the eastbound motorcycle operated by Timmy R. Strunk, 47, of Somerset, Kentucky, causing the motorcycle to overturn, ejecting both Strunk and his passenger, Karen R. Strunk, 57, of Somerset.

Timmy Strunk was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:16 p.m. by Dr. Ghanem Abusbeigh, and taken by Mississippi County Coroner Terry Parker to McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Missouri. Karen Strunk was flown to a Cape Girardeau, Missouri, hospital where she was pronounced dead at 7:03 p.m.
