SIKESTON —  Following last week’s dangerously high temperatures, which reached triple digits every day, kindergarten through fourth grade students at St. Francis Xavier School in Sikeston welcomed the relief in the weather Monday, Aug. 28, 2023, during their morning recess on their school’s playground. Temperatures on Monday topped the lower 80s with the rest of the week also expected to be in the lower and mid-80s.
