Emma DeMonia
SIKESTON, Mo. — Emma DeMonia, age 84, passed away Sept. 29, 2023, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston, Missouri.
She was born Jan. 26, 1939, in Little Rock, Arkansas, daughter of the late Cecil “C.V.” Garner and Ollie Mae Lusk-Garner. Emma was a member of the First Baptist Church of Morehouse and had
worked over 30 years for the Shuffit’s Nursing Home #3, which is now the Westfield Nursing Center. She enjoyed crafting, gardening, and serving others at the nursing home, and spending time with her dogs, Runt and Coco. She is survived by two sons, Joe DeMonia of Crestview, Florida and Wayne DeMonia of Wynnewood, Oklahoma; one daughter, Pam Little of Sikeston; six grandchildren, Brooke Sparks, Craig DeMonia, Brayden DeMonia, Melissa Veazie, Brittany DeMonia, and Corbin DeMonia; and seven great-grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service held Friday, Oct. 6, at 10 a.m. at
Sikeston Garden of Memories Cemetery, under the direction of PonderFuneral Home.
