Investigation continues into Morehouse shooting

NEW MADRID, Mo. - A shooting remains under investigation by the New Madrid County Sheriff’s Department.

On Tuesday, New Madrid County deputies were dispatched to Morehouse after an argument was overheard followed by a gunshot. At the scene deputies found a victim, who was transported to a hospital.

Authorities obtained a search warrant for a suspect’s residence. During a search of the residence, several items were seized, according to a news release.
