Butch Cobb

CHAFFEE, Mo. —  Harold “Butch” Cobb, son of Julia Ann Cobb of Chaffee, Missouri and the late Lester Ray Cobb, was born on Aug. 12, 1959, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed his life on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2023, at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau at the age of 64 years.

 

He was a former employee of the Cape Girardeau Veterans Home and a Veteran of the United States Navy for 14 years, serving in the Gulf War. Butch was a 1978 graduate from Chaffee Senior High and a current resident of Chaffee. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge in Chaffee. Most of all, Butch loved spending time with his three grandchildren and family.

 

Besides his mother, survivors include one daughter, Kimberly (Jeremy) Spiller of Indianapolis, Indiana; three brothers, Terry Joe Cobb of Eldon, Ronald Gene Cobb of Chaffee, and Donald Ray Cobb of Scott City, Missouri; three grandchildren, Joseph, Alexandria, and Olivia Spiller, all of Indianapolis; also, by other relatives and friends.

 

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Cobb and Michael Cobb.

 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2023, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. in the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee. Funeral services will then be conducted on Tuesday at 11 a.m., with Donald Cobb officiating. Committal service will be conducted on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2023, at 1 p.m. in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri, with full military honors.
