SIKESTON — Leadership Sikeston is raising funds for Hope 180, a ministry of Spread Hope Now of Sikeston, by hosting a “Tacky Christmas Bingo Night.”

The event will take place Dec. 8 at the Sikeston Jaycee Rodeo Sponsorship Barn. The doors will open at 6 p.m., and bingo will begin at 7 p.m.

According to Dana Self, director of Hope 180, the event sponsorship tables have sold out.

Individual tickets are $20 and include one bingo card per round as well as a bingo dauber. Additional books of ten cards will be available for purchase at the door for $5.

Attendees should bring their own food and drinks for a cooler entry fee of $20 per cooler. Water and soft drinks will be provided.

There will also be a wine pull and a 50/50 raffle drawing during the evening. Raffle tickets are $5 each, or five for $20.

Self said the funds raised for Hope 180 will be used to improve the building, including the installation of a live-streaming projector.

“Anything you can do on your computer will be able to be done on the projector,” Self said. “We want to have conferences and events in the building.”

The funds will also be used to upgrade the speaker system, according to Self.

The Leadership Sikeston program is always involved in class projects, and according to Self, they decided to hold a “Tacky Christmas Bingo” Night to help raise money for Hope 180.

“Hope 180 is just completely thrilled to be the recipients this year,” Self said. “We are just super thankful, and this is going to make a huge improvement to our building.”

Participants are encouraged to dress up in their best tacky Christmas attire.

Those who are unable to attend but would like to support Hope 180 can make a financial donation to Hope 180 through the 2023 Leadership Sikeston Class.
