Historic Downtown Sikeston’s annual Dashing Through Downtown Parade of Lights was conducted Friday, Dec. 1. Prior to the parade, the Downtown Sikeston Christmas tree lighting ceremony took place at Legion Park, and the Christmas village officially opened to the public for the season. Attendees enjoyed Christmas music, and children also had the opportunity to meet Santa Claus. Historic Downtown Sikeston announced float winners on Monday, Dec. 4: Missouri Taekwondo, first place; Rhodes, second place; and SEMO Health Network, third place.
