Letter: Thank you, Shop with a Hero donors
The Sikeston Walmart was filled with children Dec. 16, along with local law enforcement, emergency personnel and many other volunteers for the Shop With a Hero program. This year, 162 kids each received $200 to shop with at Walmart. The children paired with a “local hero” and filled their cart with all their goodies.
The money is all from donations. This year, the Sikeston VFW and Sikeston Jaycees each gave $10,000 to the local Shop with a Hero program.
