Ida Jones-Lane
SIKESTON — Ida L. Jone-Lane, 93, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023, at the Delta South Nursing and Rehabilitation Services in Sikeston.
She was born May 21,1930, to the late Louis and Eliza Williams.
She married Roy Jones,(deceased), and with this union had eight children; Laura Bell (Germanuel) Lea, Willie Roy (Agnes) Jones, Mary Eliza (Sylvester) Ray, Robert Lee Jones, Roy Jean Turner, Floyd Louis (Ceola) Jones, Lester Jones, Cassandra (Johnny) Longstreet along with two stepchildren, Willie Jones and Earlene Jones, both deceased.
She remarried Willie Lane (deceased) and received four stepchildren, Rick Lane, Janice (Odell) Howard, Kenny Lane and Undre (Stephanie) Lane.
She worked diligently at Sikeston Regional Center until retiring as a nurse.
Visitation will be held at Green Memorial COGIC on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023, from 10 a.m. until time of service at noon with a closed casket ceremony.
Burial will follow at the Sunset of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston. Repast will follow burial at the Cornerstone Baptist Church FLOC building.
