Charles Lee
SIKESTON — Charles Wayne Lee, 83, of Sikeston passed away on Dec. 30, 2023, at 7:45 a.m. at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
He was born Feb. 26, 1940, to the late Elmer and Lena Lee.
He served in the Missouri National Guard before being employed at the Sikeston Standard Democrat for over 50 years where he then retired.
0n May 16, 1975, he Married Carolyn (Doggett) Lee who survives of the home.
He was an avid car and sports fan, especially when it came to NASCAR or Rams football. He loved attending car shows and gospel concerts.
His greatest days were spent traveling with his wife and making memories with his family and friends.
He is survived by one son, Michael (Shannon) Lee of St. Peters, Missouri, and two daughters, Angie (Randy) Stark and Laurie (Chad) Stark of Sikeston. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Matthew (Natalie) Lee, David Lee (Jordyn) Brashears, Nick (Taylor) Stark, Rachel Lee, Riley (Rachel) Stark, Josie Stark (Shawn Attaway), Chance Wheetley, Sydney Stark and Trace Wheetley and three great-grandchildren, Lena Brashears, Ridge Stark and Olivia Attaway; other special family members, Andy (Laurie) Eason, Landry Eason and Allen Meeks.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Lena Lee; sister, Linda Gail Lee; brother, James L. Lee; and daughter, Kristi Wheetley.
There will be no services held per his wishes. A celebration of life will be held at a later date for family and friends.
