Speakout

Outrageous interest rates

I wish the government would do something about the credit card companies charging such outrageous interest rates. I just got my bill in, and they’ve changed mine to charge 32 percent, and I haven’t charged anything for over a year, trying to pay off my invoice. And I know there’s other people who had to use credit cards during the COVID.

Patchy potholes

I would like to speak out about the potholes over on Smith Street (in Sikeston). The city patched them, but they’re like half full. Some of them are so big, you could still run a tire on them. They need to please go back over there and fill them up some more and even them out because they’re bad. I realize they probably can’t pave it, but if they’d just go back over and fill them up. They’re about half full now. Anyway, I wanted to speak out about that. Thank you.

Oh, the hypocrisy

The Democrats are claiming Trump committed insurrection, but he has not been indicted and certainly not convicted of any act of insurrection. They are doing what they are accusing Trump of. They are committing insurrection by preventing the lawful transition of power. They are trying to stop people voting for who they want in power. If the Dems win this one, say goodbye to democracy and republic form of doing it.

In disagreement

This message is to Pope Francis and Bishop Rice of the Diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau. You have done more damage and scandal to the Catholic church by endorsing blessings to same-sex couples. You have tried to silence our cardinals, archbishops, bishops, priests and congregation with ex-communication for those that are in disagreement with you and have spoken up. There’s only one way to stop this madness: control the purse strings which is exactly what my family intend to do.
