SIKESTON — Nadine Louise Collier, age 98, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2024, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston. She was born on Dec. 1, 1925, in Hurricane Ridge, Missouri, to the late John Ike and Eliza Louise Scott Adams.

SIKESTON — Nadine Louise Collier, age 98, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2024, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston.

She was born on Dec. 1, 1925, in Hurricane Ridge, Missouri, to the late John Ike and Eliza Louise Scott Adams.

On Feb. 26, 1948, in Memphis, Tennessee, she married Clyde “Speedy” Collier who preceded her in death on April 7, 1998.

Nadine served as an administrative assistant for the New Madrid County Clerk’s office until her retirement.

During that time she also was a member of the local Eastern Star, volunteered at the Sikeston Community Workshop, and was a “Pink Lady” for  Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Nadine was a faithful member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Sikeston.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Peter Collier; four brothers, Joe Adams, John Adams, Dennis Adams and Gene Adams; two sisters, Ruth Lane and Maxine Crider.

She is survived by one sister-in-law, Pat Adams of Bloomington, Illinois, along with many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 26, 2024, from noon until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston with Paulester Walker, pastor of the Wesley United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mounds Cemetery in New Madrid, Missori.
