SIKESTON — Shirley Joyce Kegley, age 88, passed away on Feb. 1, 2024, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born on Feb. 21, 1935, in Gibson, Missouri, to the late James and Ruth Hamra Miller.

On Sept. 21, 1956, in Hernando, Mississippi, she married James Myron Kegley who preceded her in death on May 1, 2022.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Sikeston.

She was a co-owner and operator of the Accent Shop in Sikeston until she retired.

She is survived by one brother, James “Babe” Miller of Jonesborough, Tennessee; one sister, Shelby Williams of St. Louis, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Verna Miller and her brother-in-law, David Williams.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024, from 3 p.m. until time of funeral service at 4 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston with Jennifer Moxley, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Sikeston, officiating.

A private inurnment will be held at a later date in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
