Thomas Thompson Jr.
SIKESTON — Thomas E. “Tommy” Thompson Jr., age 76, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024, at his home in Sikeston.
He was born in Ozark, Alabama, to the late Thomas E. Sr. and Martha Hart Thompson.
Thomas was the property manager for Clarence Day until his retirement, and was a member of the Oran Methodist Church in Oran, Missouri.
Thomas is survived by one sister, Linda Metts of Germantown, Tennessee; two nieces, Kristin Meeks of Benton, Missouri, and Emily Mueller of Bertrand, Missouri; two nephews, Bart Metts of Germantown and Brian Metts of Collierville, Tennessee; two aunts, Peggy DeHart of Sikeston and Mary Etta White of Cabot, Arkansas; two uncles Bob and Paul Hart of Carlisle, Arkansas.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Deborah Thompson; one brother, Michael Thompson; and one nephew, Daniel Thompson.
A visitation will be held at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston on Friday, Feb. 23, 2024, from 11 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at noon with William Marshall, pastor of Grace Bible Fellowship Church in Sikeston, officiating.
An inurnment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
