South Scott Ambulance donates to SCTC

Wednesday, May 1, 2024

Ken Dicus and the Board of the South Scott County Ambulance District recently donated a 2009 ambulance along with two stretchers to the Sikeston Career and Technology Center. The ambulance will be used as a training vehicle for SCTC’s new EMT Program, according to Natalie Bohannon, marketing and communications specialist for Sikeston Public Schools. The ambulance and stretchers will be used by students to learn how to operate the equipment and how to properly load and unload patients, she said. “We are excited to receive this gracious donation and are thankful for Mr. Dicus and South Scott Ambulance District for their support of SCTC and the continual in-depth learning of our students,” Bohannon said. Presenting the ambulance title to SCTC Director Chad King, left, during the April 9 Sikeston R-6 Board of Education meeting at Central Office is Dicus.
