Clifford Causey
SIKESTON — Clifford Doyle Causey, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at his daughter’s home in Sikeston.
He was born on Aug. 26, 1931, in Bethel Springs, Tennessee, to the late Lonie and Graple Moore Causey.
On May 23, 1952, in Piggott, Arkansas, he married Glenda Sue Miller Causey who preceded him in death on Nov. 2, 2016.
He was a member of Christ Gospel Church in Millersville, Missouri. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Clifford owned and operated Causey Masonry until he retired in 1994.
He is survived by one son, Paul (Valerie) Causey of Sikeston; one daughter, Deborah (Bill) Knight of Sikeston; two sisters, Mary Ellen (George) Brower of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Carolyn Fisk of Troy, Illinois; five grandchildren, Amber Templeton, Candice Coffey, Lauren Eskew, Taylor Causey and Joshua Knight; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one son, Gary Lee Causey and three brothers, William “Hanin” Causey, Danny Causey and Travis Causey.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2024, from 5p.m. until 8 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where funeral services will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024, at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow in the Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri, with full military honors.
Pallbearers will be: Curtis Causey, Mark Brower, Mike Miller, Pete Glaus, Tim Gilmore and Greg Copeland.
