__No-fault divorce law under attack__
Please vote to keep no-fault divorce law. In 1969 Republican Gov. Ronald Reagan was the first to pass the no-fault divorce law. In 2004 a study was performed, which showed a drop in domestic violence and suicide rates for women, and it was attributed to the no-fault divorce. For many years, couples have chosen no-fault divorce. Reportedly, several Republican politicians in different states are speaking out about removing the no-fault divorce law, making the excuse that no-fault divorce is causing the breakdown of our society. In my opinion, the breakdown of our society is really due to several things: the high cost of living, hunger, alcoholism, crime, drug addiction, widespread loss of jobs due to industries moving away or businesses going broke. But that’s not all the reasons. Missouri is a no-fault divorce state. If doing away with the no-fault divorce law comes to a vote, I hope that all Missouri voters, as many as possible, will vote to keep the no-fault divorce law active in Missouri.
