Sikeston Elks seek donations for annual fireworks display

SIKESTON — Sikeston Elks Lodge 2319 will once again present the annual Fourth of July fireworks display in Sikeston.

For over 20 years, the Elks have sponsored the event which is scheduled to begin at dusk on Thursday, July 4 at the Sikeston Recreational Complex.

The Elks are again seeking donations from individuals, organizations and businesses as well as the cities of Sikeston and Miner to ensure the tradition can be continued and enjoyed by all, according to Bonnie Hagler with the Elks Fireworks Committee.

“It is an event enjoyed by the entire community and serves as the grand finale for the Independence Day holiday,” Hagler said.

Troy Wisdom with Rainbow Fireworks will again be the vendor in charge of the display.

“The Elks Fireworks Committee appreciates any and all donations,” Hagler said. “Your help is need if this patriotic event is to be continued.”
