Two killed in head-on collision early Sunday in New Madrid County

KEWANEE, Mo. — A Malden, Missouri, woman and a Sikeston, Missouri, man were killed in a head-on collision early Sunday, June 30 in New Madrid County.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 12:45 a.m. on Highway 61, two miles north of Kewanee, as the northbound vehicle driven by 32-year-old Jasymine R. Clark of Malden crossed the center of the road and struck the southbound vehicle driven by Michael J. Coaker, 43, of Sikeston head-on.

Both Clark and Coaker were pronounced dead at the scene at 1:45 a.m. by New Madrid County Coroner George DeLisle and taken to the New Madrid County morgue.
