Eric Rainey
SIKESTON — Eric Lynn Rainey was born on Feb. 15, 1984, in Blytheville, Arkansas. He passed away on Dec. 8, 2022, at his home in Sikeston. He was 38 years of age.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marty Rainey; grandparents, Robert and Mae Russell and uncle, Bryan Russell.
Eric was a loving son, father and brother. He enjoyed tinkering and fixing things. He also enjoyed watching crime shows on the I.D. Channel. Eric loved spending time with his family and friends.
He leaves the following behind to cherish his memory: his mother, Sydney (Nicholas) Pavelka of Sikeston; two daughters, Kiley and Kera Rainey of Portageville, Missouri; two sisters, Jordan Pavelka of Sikeston and Katherine Morin of Sikeston; one brother, John Essary of Springfield, Missouri; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services were held Dec. 17, 2022, at the John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti, Missouri, with Brother David Mercer officiating.
Inurnment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele, Missouri.
