BENTON, Mo. — University of Missouri Extension in Scott County announced that after 40 years of service, David Reinbott, who has served as the specialist in agricultural business, retired on June 4.

Reinbott was one of two specialists in ag business who served the Southeast Missouri region, where he covered nine counties. Reinbott was a valuable resource to many area farms and colleagues, according to Amber Childers, extension engagement specialist with University of Missouri Extension. Reinbott facilitated crop conferences, provided important agricultural pricing and statistics data and much more.

“David has served Southeast Missouri for the majority of his career,” Childers said. “He has definitely left his mark on the community and his co-workers. He wasn’t just a specialist; he was a friend, a mentor and a great resource. He will be dearly missed. We wish him the best and look forward to hearing about his new adventures in retirement.”

A search will be conducted in the coming months to fill the open position at the Scott County office.
