Rhonda Ward
BERTRAND, Mo. — Rhonda Denean Ward, age 56, of Bertrand went to be with her Lord on July 23, 2024.
Born Dec. 23, 1967, in Morrilton, Arkansas, Rhonda loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed taking mission trips with the church. She was a member of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church of Sikeston, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Ward; stepfather, Eugene Hammons; and sister, Cyndy Ward.
Family left to cherish her memory are her mother, Brenda Collins Hammons of Bertrand; significant other, David Ward of Matthews, Missouri; two children, Alicia (Dalean) Germany of Bolivar, Missouri, and Nicholas (Christian) Lewis of Canalou, Missouri; two grandchildren she raised as her own, Isaiah Burk and Jason Lynch; five stepchildren, Amber Morris, Kenny Russell Reeves, Chance, Brock and Morgan Ward; two brothers, Roger Ward of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Robert (Sheila) Ward of Judsonia, Arkansas; two sisters, Marilyn (Kenny) Mullins of Conway, Arkansas, Judy (Adam) Brewer of Judsonia, Arkansas; 11 additional grandchildren, Gabriella, Little Isaiah, Kensley, Jeremiah, McKinley, River, Lily, Journey, Mina, Kayla, little Kenny. She also leaves behind a host of many nieces, nephews, family and friends; and honorary grandchildren, Tyler, Danny, Tharon, Zackery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2024, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston. Rev. John Tarter, pastor of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be: Jason Lynch, Isaiah Burk, Nicholas Merrick, Jacob Williams, Chris Ward and Dalean Germany.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Pepper Trevino, Danny Ruark, Tharon Harper, Tyler Perry and Zackery Gamblin.
