Carolyn Cobb
SCOTT CITY, Mo. — Carolyn Jan Cobb, age 80, passed away on Aug. 21, 2024, at Country Place in Scott City.
She was born on April 12, 1944, in Sikeston, Missouri, to the late Claudius Harold and Dorothy May Johnson Clark.
On May 24, 1963, in New Madrid, Missouri, she married Decalvis “Dee” Cobb, who preceded her in death on April 6, 2019.
She retired in 2015 from Walmart as Lead Associate Produce Manager.
She was a member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston, a Girl Scout for over two decades and a former Missouri Delta Medical Center Auxiliary member.
She is survived by three daughters, Cynthia (Bradley) Ellsworth of Dexter, Missouri, Sharon Kelley of Essex, Missouri, and Janice (Daniel) Barber of Sikeston; one stepson, Tim (Debbie) Jordan of Matthews, Missouri; three brothers, James (Carolyn) Clark, Tony (Gean) Clark, and Tim (Judy K) Clark; two sisters, Dianne (Bobby) Clark and Donna Glidewell; six grandchildren, Josh Rutledge, Ryan Kelley, Sarah Barber, Madison Barber, Devyn Tinsley and Shona Barber; two stepgrandchildren, Deanna Wrather and Rachel Hernandez; and two great-grandchildren, Liam Rutledge Cue and Howard (LJ) Jones III.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Shona Cobb; one brother, Harold Clark; and one son-in-law, Erik Kelley.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2024, from 1 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 2 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston with Brother Billy Davis officiating.
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid.
