Cox and Shimon named Sikeston High School/SPS Foundation Students of Month for October
SIKESTON — Aden Cox and Philip “Clay” Shimon were named Sikeston High School Students of the Month for October.
Sikeston Public Schools Foundation, which sponsors the monthly program, names two seniors each month for the academic honor during the 2024-2025 school year. Students also receive a certificate and gift card from the Foundation.
Cox, who is the son of Nathan Cox and Heather Cox, is a member of the marching band and jazz band. He is also a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, Link Crew, Band Council, FBLA, A+, College Now and Phi Theta Kappa. In his spare time, he enjoys playing and listening to music, going to thrift and antique stores, playing video games, driving and going out with friends,
Shimon is the son of Amy Shimon and the late Phil Shimon. He is active in DECA, FBLA, Speech and Debate, E-Sports (varsity valorant, tech crew, livestreaming) and World Language Club. His hobbies include PC building, video games, weight lifting and music.
