I have been with the Standard Democrat sports department since 2007. I took over as sports editor in May of 2011 and have been slightly crazy about sports since I can remember. I attended Southeast Missouri State University and Scott County Central High School. I co-created our sports web show "The Last Word" and my two children, Elijah and CJ. I was married to my wife, Angie, in May of 2014. I love to golf, I am an avid NBA2K gamer and root for the Fighting Irish on Saturdays.

2013 Media Football Pick 'Em -- Week 4

The Pick 'Em is back for Week 4.

Not to toot our own horn or anything, but we've got three SD Sports guys sitting at the top this week. Not bragging or anything, just proud of our publication stepping up when it comes to picking games. Now, if we could only get Shipman to follow suit...

David Jenkins is on top so far, but the Southeast Missourian's Jeff Breer is currently tied with him but did not turn in his picks this week. After that we have fellow co-worker Derek James and yours truly tied for second.

East Prairie is again the toughest pick for our panel. Last week their game against Scott City split 50/50. I'm not sure where the Eagles fall right now, honestly. I think a win against Hayti would be big for them.

Not much time this week folks. I'll be back tomorrow in a brand-spanking new episode of The Last Word, however, where Jenks and I recap Week 3 and break down this week's upcoming matchups the only way we know how.
