I have been with the Standard Democrat sports department since 2007. I took over as sports editor in May of 2011 and have been slightly crazy about sports since I can remember. I attended Southeast Missouri State University and Scott County Central High School. I co-created our sports web show "The Last Word" and my two children, Elijah and CJ. I was married to my wife, Angie, in May of 2014. I love to golf, I am an avid NBA2K gamer and root for the Fighting Irish on Saturdays.

David, you got your wish. My youngest son who plays for Dexter heard your comments and will be only too happy to use them as bulletin board material for the rest of the team. If Dexter wins, will you both eat a slice of humble pie in next week's edition of "The Last Word"?

That's the spirit! That's how athletes and coaches should take it. If you don't like what people say, then prove them wrong! Too many people get their feelings hurt these days. Instead of getting sad, get tough and get better.

Don't feel bad Chris. I've eaten my fair share of crow many times lol. At least you're brave enough to put a prediction out there, unlike some folks on here. I'm glad I picked Dexter in this one lol
